Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya is having a good run in the USA despite the weak reviews. The film has now breached an important milestone as it grossed over $2 million at the USA box office.
As M9.news had reported earlier, the breakeven tally for the film is $1.9 million. Now that it has grossed over $2 million, it has reaped slight profits.
The second weekend run will now be very crucial to determine the degree of the profits that the Chiru starrer will amass.
The USA distributor would be pinning hopes on the second weekend tally to extract profits. With not much competition from Telugu films this weekend, it should be seen how much the film will make.
This is now the third $2 million grosser for Chiranjeevi at the USA box office with the other two being Khaidi No.150 and Sye Raa.
Veerayya is a commercial potboiler directed by Bobby and it his produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Shruti Haasan plays the female lead in the film.
