Akhil Akkineni is coming up with the most crucial and much-hyped film of his career, Agent. The film is releasing this Friday, April 28. Akhil had an exclusive heart-to-heart chitchat with M9News while promoting the film, where he talked extensively about Agent.
Akhil Akkineni said that in the beginning, he couldn’t believe that a film with such a huge canvas was being offered to him. He was not sure if he could pull off such a big film on his shoulders. He wondered how he could build such a body to prepare for this role. But it was Surender Reddy who was adamant that I should do this role. He insisted that I should build my body, or he wouldn’t even start the shoot.
Akhil added that we thought it would take 6-7 months, but it took around ten months to build the ‘Agent’ body that Surender and his team had envisioned.
Speaking on the fan-pleasing elements in the film, Akhil said that he had tried some unique dance movements in the songs, especially Wild Saala, which will enthrall his fans. He said he believes that he isn’t an exceptional dancer, but he put in all his efforts as he wanted to please his fans. He has come up with some dances that are not the usual commercial stuff but steps that would suit his spy character.
Akhil revealed that the block that will give the biggest high to the audience would be the interval block. That block would blow the minds of the audiences, fans would go into a frenzy, and will also completely justify the ‘Wild Saala’ side of my character in the film.
Speaking on the allegations that he neither takes his fans seriously nor does films that satisfy them, Akhil said that he has been in the industry for only 6-7 years. It usually takes 10-15 years to become a crowd-pleasing star hero. He said he has now started his journey towards becoming a fan favorite with Agent and would continue to do films that will excite Akkineni fans.
Lastly, Akhil also revealed that outside his family, Ram Charan is his best friend and a great well-wisher. He said the best part about Charan is that he doesn’t give unnecessary advice or rub his opinions on him like others. He is like a dear elder brother who guides him to make the right decision. He said he always looks up to Charan to get inspired by him and his characters.
