Post the controversy of Vishwaroopam ban in Tamil Nadu, The Central government had decided to make amends to the existing cinematography act. It had constituted a committee with 8 members for this purpose. A Retired high court judge will be heading the committee in which Sharmila Tagore, Javed Akthar and others are members.
This committee will study various proposal and recent censor issues in various states and recommend changes to be made in the act. Lets see if this helps in putting an end to Censor issues which are becoming common these days.
