Vishal-Kamal-haasan

While the Telugu version of Vishal starrer Pandianadu (Palnadu) may be finding it very hard to survive at the box office, the Tamil version of the film is slowly but steadily gaining acceptance among the common audience. The film which released on Diwali few days ago has opened with very good response from the critics. Even the word of mouth from the normal audience has been the best among the three films that released for the festival. The result is from the second week the screenings of the film have been doubled.

Meanwhile a special screening of the film was held for director par excellence Mani Ratnam. The director also seems to have enjoyed the film a lot and had a lot of congratulatory stuff to say about actor Vishal which has put the actor on cloud 9. After all the critical praise, praise from most celebrated director of his generation like Mani Ratnam has made Vishal a very happy and contempt man after years of work in the industry.

Pandianadu is directed by Suseenthiran the man behind films like Na Peru Shiva, Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu (the original was directed by him). The director after a successful streak of films failed big time trying to make a mass movie Veedinthe with actor Vikram as hero. After that unsuccessful attempt the director has bounced back strongly with two back to back critically acclaimed films in close proximity. His last film Aadhalaal Kadhal Seiveer was an August release.
