The trailer of hero Vishal’s next movie ‘Chakra’ will come out on Saturday at 4 pm and the makers are going to release the trailer in four different South Indian languages. Obviously in Tamil (the original), Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
There is a buzz that ‘Chakra’ would opt for a direct OTT release, but nothing is official from the sources close to the movie’s unit. These days, one can’t be sure that a movie that finished post-production would indefinitely wait for a theatrical release.
The premise of the movie revolving around cybercrime and bank robbery is a perfect one for a digital watch. The fact that Vishal is kickstarting the promotions with the trailer release seems to strengthen the buzz that he is planning for a direct OTT release.
Vishal is also the producer of ‘Chakra’ featuring Shraddha Srinath as the female lead and Regina Cassandra playing an important role. Maybe, if the offer from any digital platform is fancy enough to sell, Vishal might have considered it as a producer.
