Vinaya-Vidheya-Rama-TrailerThe trailer of the second biggie of the upcoming Sankranthi season Vinaya Vidheya Rama is out. The first impression is that it is a typical Boyapati Sreenu venture in its full glory and that is a good as well as bad news.

First, the good news is that a mass movie like this finds patronage in Telugu states if done right. Sankranthi usually favours mass and family entertainers, and Vinaya Vidheya Rama caters to that segment entirely. However, and coming to the bad news, the trailer is without any shred of doubt the worst cut among the director’s movies.

Right from the first film Badhra to Boyapai Sreenu’s last flick, Jaya Janaki Nayaka (debatable but only slightly), all his trailers have had a solid impact. There will be at least one dialogue that genuinely makes a cut across the fan base and creates a buzz. Needless to say, it is also helpful in increasing mass penetration. Here, everything seems overdone. There is an overdose of mass, violence and in dialogue. The glimpse that one can make of the story too seems outdated. It means even for the masses they have to trust the combo rather than get excited outrightly.

The worst hit would be the US where movies of these kinds are a strict no-no. Whatever Vinaya Vidheya Rama earns amidst classy competition would be on the goodwill of Ram Charan post-Dhruva and Rangasthalam.

Check out the trailer below. DVV Danayya produces Vinaya Vidheya Rama which brings together Ram Charan and Boyapati Sreenu for the first time. Kiara Advani is the female lead in this big ensemble cast production. The mass entertainer hits screens worldwide on January 11th.
