In the Telugu film industry, there are a few directors who have gone on to score big mass success at the box office. Films that helped build a mass base for the stars. But, the problem with them is that they churn out routine flicks and they get mauled by critics initially and most certainly opens with divide talk as a result.
Puri Jagannadh is a classic case in that regard. Would you believe it almost all his films, barring one or two, opened with a poor word of mouth and also were not that positive critically? And yet, all of them went to turn big blockbusters.
It is the same case with Boyapati Sreenu. He has so much going for him as a mass director. He is known for giving the biggest hits to each actor he has worked with, and that to back to back. But, again all his films barring Simha has opened with mixed or divide talk.
It brings us to Boyapati’s latest Vinaya Vidheya Rama. The trailer of the Ram Charan starrer has been panned online, but all it took was one poster to get things going at the ground level. With each poster, the hype is only increasing. The confidence of the director on the output is further adding to the excitement. The fans are happy with what they are getting keeping the director in mind, and the confidence infused by Boyapati is further making them thrilled with anticipation.
We have to see how things pan out eventually and if the confidence in the words of the director is well placed or not. But, it needs to be said that the makers, and particularly the director are giving all they can and with confidence to keep the expectations on Vinaya Vidheya Rama high. The mass entertainer will hit the screens worldwide on January 11th.
