A new set of posters of Vijay’s Varasudu (Varisu in Tamil) were unveiled today and this has led to a new discussion amongst fans.
A section of Telugu cinema followers are claiming that the posters of Varisu look like a xerox copy of Mahesh Babu from Maharshi. They are saying the film is going to be a mere copy of Maharshi as well. Especially, Vijay’s looks are being termed as a replica of Mahesh.
But it is too early to draw conclusions on Varisu. The promotional material might draw mixed reactions but the film, from what we can see is a minimum guarantee commercial potboiler.
There’s a negative trend on Varisu for aforementioned reasons but it’s not right to deduct the film to a bare minimum for that reason. Moreover, Vamshi Paidipally directed Maharshi and he simply wouldn’t churn out the same film this time with Varisu.
Varisu is up for release during next Sankranthi season and it is directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead in the film.
