Tamil mass star Vija Ilayapathy’s ‘Master’ is scheduled to release in the theatres for the coming Sankranthi festival. So, the mass star requested the government of Tamil Nadu to allow 100% occupancy for his ‘Master’ contrary to the present 50% occupancy rate.
It’s quite evident that cases are growing all over and there are reports from the Telugu States in the media about the violation of the restrictions even though the 50% occupancy was in place. So, it’s the responsibility of the stars to care about the well-being of their fans and movie-goers.
In this scenario, asking for 100% occupancy isn’t a feasible thing. It isn’t fair to ask o request for that and it certainly looks like a selfish move on the part of the mass star who must act more responsible given his stature as one of the South superstars who commands a huge fan following.
Audiences are definitely missing the theatrical experience of their favourite stars. However, being alive is more important and there is no hurry to get back to theatres when there is a life threat. So, Vijay’s request is totally unwarranted, whatsoever.
