Vijay Deverakonda has floated the Middle-Class Fund to help the vulnerable families in the Corona Crisis. As the Lockdown is eased and people are back to work, the actor had decided to put the fund in a Rest Mode. He started with a corpus fund of 25 Lakhs, but in the end, he helped 17,723 households with an amount of 1,71,21,103.
A huge number of donations (1,50,24,549 Rupees from 8,515 people) have poured in for the fund and 535 people have come forward to help the cause as volunteers. They were involved in identifying the beneficiaries, procuring the goods, and distributing them.
This is a really appreciable work by the young hero and his fans at the time of this Crisis. Vijay announced that the Middle-Class fund will be a support system created for a lifetime and it will be activated, up, and running whenever a situation calls for its need.
On the professional front, Vijay Deverakonda is currently starring in Puri Jagannadh‘s Fighter. The movie was supposed to release this Summer but it is now postponed to next year.
