Major, featuring Adivi Sesh is a biographical action drama based on the life story of Mumbai attacks martyr Major Sandeep. Coming to the point, Vijay Deverakonda is clearly impressed with Major.

Well, the onus is now on Vijay to match or possibly even better what Sesh did with Major. Vijay will soon start working on JGM, a military-based action thriller directed by Puri Jagannadh.
JGM could well be the next military backdrop film after Major from Tollywood. So despite Major and JGM not being like for like films, there will be obvious comparisons so as to which of the two heroes did well.
Major is appreciated for its technical finesse and the emotional core related to Major Sandeep. For military films to click, the emotional core should be bang on point and this is a challenge JGM will certainly face. Major has done the job, if we consider the box office numbers. Vijay will now have to do it with JGM.
