Vijay Deverakonda fondly called as ‘Rowdy’ by his fans has been missing from big canvass for a long time. The actor scored blockbuster hit with Geetha Govindam and then came World Famous Lover (WFL).
WFL came back in 2020, while the film generated huge buzz with good promotions and with three female leads but it turned turtle at the ticket-window. Deverakonda then gave his fans a major update announcing pan-India film Liger.
Craze around Liger doubled further after Bollywood diva Ananya Panday was roped in and then Bollywood honcho Karan Johar got associated with it as the co-producer. KJo is known to have a midas touch who has changed the fate of many actors by launching them.
Since KJo will be launching Deverakonda, considering it as the actor’s first straight Hindi film, the buzz further widened. Few stills from the movie kept the momentum but it slowed down with no updates. Now fans have expressed their disappointment on social media asking for an update from Liger.
Deverakonda will be celebrating his birthday on May 9. His fans are hoping that at least on his birthday Puri Jagannadh release Liger teaser and make them happy. Deverakonda is in his prime, and with such a long gap it may slow down the momentum he has amassed. After a lot of delay, Liger was announced for release in September but with grim situation owing to the pandemic, uncertainty looms further which again has made fans anxious.
