Tamil Hero Vijay RRR Oscar AwardSong ‘Naatu Naatu’ from SS Rajamouli’s RRR won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, and the whole country erupted with joy. Stars and celebs from all over the world rushed to social media to express their happiness at the victory that made our country proud.

Biggest superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Balakrishna, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Karthi, Priyanka Chopra, Yash, and many others congratulated the team of RRR on their spectacular win at the Oscars. But Tamil Superstar Vijay refrained from making any tweet or post, at least on social media, to congratulate RRR’s team.

Even though he is skipping Telugu promotions, his teams are making desparate efforts to increase his market here.

This was the first time Oscar had been brought to the country, and that too by a South Indian Film. One tweet from Vijay wouldn’t have hurt his image or reputation. There’s a complain that he had time to promote the Bollywood film Pathaan on Twitter which he had no connection with, but he didn’t have time to post one congratulatory tweet on RRR’s Oscar win.

If the Tamil cinema industry had achieved a milestone like this, then the biggest stars from the Telugu film industry would have come on social media to congratulate them on such a big success.

We don’t know if Thalapathy Vijay is just indifferent or jealous of RRR’s global success, but one thing is for sure, he himself has distanced himself from the Telugu audience.
