Vijay Antony became an overnight star after his film Bichagadu became the surprise blockbuster of 2016. Once again he created a sensation with the trailer and posters of his new film Shaitan (Bethaludu in Telugu).
The horror film which was supposed to hit the screens this Diwali has now been postponed to a later date. Reasons coming in say that there was too much competition in the form of Vishal’s Kaththi Sandai and Karthi’s Kashmora so Vijay backed out of the race.
This was not the case last time around as Vijay released him Bichagadu amidst huge competition from Brahmotsavam. But this time around he has many things like allocation of theatres, number of screens which might have made him a bit scared to release the film during Diwali.
Seeing this, many are saying that when success comes suddenly it makes many aware of the future and that is how Vijay is planning things ahead and going in a right direction.
