Noted veteran actress Krishna Kumari (85 years) passed away at her home in Bengaluru today. She was born in 1933 in West Bengal to Venkoji Rao and Sachi Devi.
Krishna Kumari was a contemporary to the actress Savitri and has featured in several classic blockbusters in Telugu. She made her debut with the film Navvithe Navaratnalu in the year 1951. Since then Krishna Kumari acted in many movies with all the top heroes. Apart from Telugu, she has also worked in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi films as well. Bharya Bhartalu, Kulagotralu, and Gudi Gantalu are some of her classic movies. Her natural acting has won her numerous fans.
Post marriage Krishna Kumari chose to stay away from movies mostly. Her elder sister Sowcar Janaki is also a popular artist across various film industries. May her soul rest in peace.
