ANR-is-no-more-ANR-passed-away

Renowned 91-year old actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao breathed his last at Care Banjara hospital during mid-night on Tuesday. Born in 1923, made his debut in to movies with ‘Dharma Patni’ in 1941 ANR went on to act in 250+ films. ANR has been suffering with Intestine cancer for a while. ANR himself came out and urged his fans to not speculate over his health as the disease can be cured. Few weeks ago ANR underwent surgery for intestinal cancer, Nagarjuna expressed great hope and said that it’s his strong will power that’s keeping him alive. But sadly we lost one of the greatest actors of Indian cinema today.

ANR’s last film would be ‘Manam’ which is currently under its shoot. ‘Manam’ is a film that Nagarjuna has been dreaming for, which supposedly release later this year. This is one rare movie of Tollywood in which audience get to see three generations of actors from the same family offering screen space.

ANR was honored several prestigious awards such as Padmabhushan Dadasaheb Phalke. Our most heartfelt sympathies for the big loss to Nag and his family. May his soul Rest in Peace.

ANR body will be placed at Annapurna Studios around 10AM for fans and industry folks to pay respects.
