Venky Mama Proves – It Is All About Timing, Sometimes The Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya starrer Venky Mama is rocking the box office. The opening weekend is expected to go past 20 Cr share worldwide. It is a fantastic performance. At the same time, it highlights some key points and strong business of producer Suresh Babu.

There are two key points to notice here. The first of the two is the long gap. It has been almost three months since a Telugu biggie hit cinemas. The last such movie (Sye Raa) was not a commercial entertainer.

Basically, the Telugu audience was starved for a regular commercial fare. Venky Mama delivers precisely what is the need of the hour. It may not be the ‘perfect’ film, but it is the ‘right’ one.

The second is Venkatesh. Venky Mama is the immediate next after his career biggest blockbuster F2. As it is, the star is known for his box office pull in the family audience, Venky Mama, coming after F2 further enhanced the appeal to the target audience.

The first time combination of Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya became like icing on the cake. The grand production values and reasonably fresh known director Bobby have all chipped in in small parts. A film like Masala failed to check many of these boxes, and we know where it ended at the box office.

The real test for Venky Mama still waits in the weekdays. But, the superb weekend has proved the business acumen of the people behind the film.
