Well, this news has come as a sweet surprise to the fans of Victory Venkatesh. It looks like Venkatesh making his return to Bollywood is indeed official. After more than twenty-five years gap, he would be part of a Hindi flick.
The last direct release of Venkatesh was in the year 1995 when his film Taqdeerwala (remake of Yamaleela) hit cinemas. It didn’t do well at all, and since then, Venkatesh has stayed away from Bollywood and concentrated entirely on Telugu films only.
Now, after more than twenty-six years, Venkatesh has reportedly agreed to be part of a Bollywood. And what’s more, it will be a biggie where he will share the screen with none other than Salman Khan. Venky’s role reportedly is parallel lead and is not a mere supporting part.
One of the biggest names in Bollywood, Sajid Nadiadwala, produces this highly awaited film. Farhan Samji directs the film, which is expected to be an action-comedy. Pooja Hegde is the heroine opposite Salman Khan, whereas the search is on for a suitable pair for Venkatesh. The regular shoot will commence in the first quarter of 2022.
There have been more frequent exchanges of acting talents between Bollywood and Southern industries in the recent past. The trend is aimed to have a pan-India appeal to the movies. Let’s see if there be more exciting similar combos on the way.
