One period film ‘Veeram’ made in three versions namely Malayalam, Hindi and English is going to be screened in BRICS Film Festival in New Delhi on 2nd September, even before the theatrical release in October 2016.
The director of this film Jayaraj claims that his period film is going to beat all the standards set by Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali’. ‘Veeram’ is the adaptation of playwright Shakespeare’s play ‘Macbeth’ told in the narrative involving an Indian warrior.
This is not the first time a filmmaker claimed that he is going to beat Baahubali. Earlier, director C. Sundar also claimed that his period film produced by Thenandal Films also made similar claims. This proves that ‘Baahubali’ had set some standards for sure.
