Sai Dharam Vs Varun TejLooking back at 2014, we can certainly see that this year has been a special one for mega heroes. Especially because, two new heroes from mega family made their debut into Telugu Film Industry. Varun Tej and Sai Dharam Tej had their own strengths and weaknesses. Pre-release, Varun Tej came with more expectations while the buzz and expectations on Sai Dharam Tej were comparitively less.

Varun Tej got more hype and expectations grew more on him because of his good looks. But after ‘Mukunda’ hit screens, his weaknesses came into focus. He is weak at portraying emotions and dancing skills. In contrast, Sai Dharam’s looks never became focussed but after ‘Pilla Nuvvuleni Jeevitham’ hit theatres, his strengths i.e., acting and dancing skills automatically came into focus.

But anyway, this is only begining and one should take note that PNLJ is Sai Dharam’s second movie technically and that might be the reason for more maturity in acting. Varun’s ‘Mukunda’ is his first movie and there is every scope for improvement like Allu Arjun. Bunny’s travel from playing Simhadri in ‘Gangotri’ to cable Raju in ‘Vedam’ as a performer had been wonderful.

Also looking at the choices they have made Sai Dharam Tej has taken a complete commercial route with films like Rey, PNLJ and upcoming Harish Shankar’s film but Varun Tej has come up with a risky venture for his debut. It could be a case of tortoise and hare in the end with Sai Dharam showcasing all his aces upfront and Varun making a gradual progress with few surprises up his sleeve. One cannot predict the future but right now Sai Dharam Tej has won it as a commercial actor with right mix in him. With Varun we have to wait and see if he can throw any surprise. Do you think he can based on Mukunda and his upcoming line up? Which one of the two can be placed besides Ram Charan and Allu Arjun in future?
