Paid reviews have been an in-thing in Bollywood and going by the words of actress Varalaxmi, daughter of Sharat Kumar one must understand that the new culture is slowly coming to the South Film Industry, as well. Varalaxmi and Satyaraj starrer ‘Echcharikkai Idhy Manidhargal Nadamaadum Idam’ has been receiving accolades from the critics.
The actress was happy with the response from the audiences but not very happy with some reviewers. She thanked those who gave honest and positive reviews but slammed some reviews and alleged that the new culture of paid reviews has been cropping up and if one refuses to pay them, they come up with a crappy review. The actress also came up with the way the small films with content have been suffering because of the lack of theatres.
She advised the audiences to go and watch the small films as they need the support of the audiences. Varalaxmi appealed to the audiences not to be star-struck and don’t make the honest filmmakers lose. She has clearly stated the reality in her tweet and how the small films are at mercy despite hard work and passion.
