Varun Tej’s different attempt, Valmiki has received some love of the audience and the young man got full marks for his performance in the negative shades as Gaddalakonda Ganesh. The film has opened up a new record for the hero with the highest collections bagged on an opening day amongst his films. But is that enough?
The film managed to get steady at the box office the second-day giving hopes on a fruitful week but is not doing well with the US box office as it is falling behind to meet the break-even with Sye Raa coming into the picture soon. The film is at $374 now while the break-even is $600. They have this weekend to do it as Sye Raa’s premiers would grab all the attention leaving Valmiki struggling for the break-even.
On the other hand, unfortunately, the heavy rains in AP and TS states are having a big impact on the delivery of the film but to meet break-even here looks like a possibility by Sunday. Still needs a lookout. Let’s see.
