pawan-kalyanPowerstar Pawan Kalyan‘s Vakeel Saab which survived due to fans euphoria and holidays in the first week, tanked in the second weekend failing to bring normal audience to the theaters. COVID Second Wave only made things further worse. But then more than anything else, the half-baked content is to be blamed.

The cracks were visible in the first week itself, but the second weekend has shown there is no push forward for the miserable journey of Vakeel Saab.

According to the trade, after a moderate total in the first week, primarily helped by holidays, Vakeel Saab has come crashing on the second Friday. Its collections were hovering around the 1 Cr mark, which is terrible for a new release in its second week. Considering the fact that there is complete open ground with no competition, the trade is shell-shocked with the numbers.

The hope to see an upward tick in the second weekend was dashed by the Friday numbers. The Saturday did improve, but it wasn’t much either. The Sunday obviously is going to be the best day (among the worst). But, considering where it started on Friday, it won’t be much.

The same is the case for Vakeel Saab trade outside India. Here, the data is available officially through the rentrack, so there is no doubt whatsoever. It is the same case in the rest of the overseas as well.

Vakeel Saab has fared poorly overseas, the rest of India, and most of the territories in the Telugu states. It is a sad state of affair, but that is how it is in the current scenario. With lockdowns, restrictions and reduced ticket prices, there is not much hope in the coming days anyways.
