Vaishnav Tej's Uppena: A Potential Silent Winner Among BiggiesThe summer of 2020 in Telugu cinema is a crowded affair. While there is no film (yet) from the top stars, all the second league heroes will arrive one after other. It will start from Ugadi (Mid-March) and continue until the end of the season.

Among them is arriving a much smaller film Uppena. It is backed by a big banner, and names, but stars newcomers in the lead and is directed by a debutant. The newcomer is Vaisshnav Tej Panja. His is the brother of Sai Dharam Tej. The production house that backs it is Mythri Movie Makers. Sukumar is providing the dialogues. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director.

A former assistant of Sukumar, Buchibabu is making his directorial debut with Uppena. The heroine of the flick, Krithi Shetty, is also a first-timer. The first look of the movie has been released today along with the release date.

The poster gives a pleasant vibe and also captures the spirit of the movie well. Uppena is meant to be an ocean of love, and that is what it suggests. The film will hit the screens worldwide on April 2nd. It will be arriving amidst two big commercial entertainers. If history has proven anything, it is that the heartfelt made silent entries have stolen the show from bigger production. The question is, will that be the case here?
