Vaani wants to concentrate in Bollywood

Newbie Vaani Kapoor, who is making her southern debut with Aaha Kalyanam, says she doesn’t have any aspirations of making a strong foothold in southern industry. She says since she had signed a contract with YRF, she had to do a southern film. Post the release of Aaha Kalyanam, she plans to concentrate only on Bollywood films.

She however wished that Aaha Kalyanam turns out to be successful as it’s an important film in her career and she thoroughly enjoyed working for it. She also confirmed her next project is also with Yash Raj Films, and after which she will work on a big budget Hindi project. Vaani has good things to say about Nani, her co-star in the film, and added that he is very friendly and highly professional on sets.

Aaha Kalyanam is the southern remake of Band Baaja Baarat, which was a blockbuster in Hindi. The southern version has been directed by debutant Gokul Krishna. The film is slated to release Feb 21.
