Vaani Kapoor winner of the Filmfare awards 2014 for best debut actress is soon going to make her debut in South Indian films (Telugu and Tamil) with the film Aaha Kalyanam. The film is a remake of successful Hindi film Band Baaja Baarat that also marks the debut of prominent Hindi production house Yash Raj Films in Southern film industry. Nani co-stars in the film with her which is all set to release soon.
Speaking about the debut and her co-stars the actress said that she hoped to be accepted by the Telugu and Tamil film industries like she has been accepted by the Hindi film industry. When the offer came to her, she says, she couldn’t reject it because it was such a wonderful script that gives an actress the scope to perform. She also gives her co-star Nani a major credit for the way the performance has shaped up in the film as she initially felt a little uncomfortable but thanks to the actor and the rapport they developed as day’s progresses, it made her easy with the entire set up and helped in the performance. We hope this chemistry is visible on screen as well as the film requires it in heavy doses to work.
