Finally, the trailer of Natural Star Nani and Sudheer Babu’s V is out. Many expected it to come out yesterday (August 25th), but an extensive publicity campaign delayed it much to the chagrin of the fans.
The teaser of V promised a lot of intrigue with mind games involved. Nani is seen in a way different look and character than the usual, which added to the expectations. The trailer brings nothing new to the table except it packs in a lot of action.
V looks like is following the template of a psycho killer on the prowl and a smart cop on the trail. Nani plays the former whereas Sudheer Babu, the latter. Well, what would be the fun if things were that simple, there will be some twist in the tale which would be critical to the entire narrative? Nothing on that score is revealed though, which is okay.
The making quality looks excellent, and so do the action scenes with a lot of rawness. It is here that Sudheer Babu makes his mark. Nani seems to be playing the most challenging role of his career with similar panache and style as we see him regularly. All these make the movie a theatrical experience. But under the extraordinary circumstances, the makers have opted for a digital release.
Check out the trailer below. Nivetha Thomas and Aditi Rao Hydari is the female leads in the action thriller. Mohan Krishna Indraganti of Sammohanam fame directs the movie whereas Dil Raju produces it. Amit Trivedi provides the music, and S Thaman gives the background score.
V will arrive directly on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. It is the first major biggie from South Indian film industries to take the digital premiere route. V will stream online worldwide from September 5th.
