Rajamouli, Ram Charan, Jr NTR’s magnum opus celluloid, RRR is hitting theatres worldwide in around 48 hours from now. Now, here’s a look at the film’s theatrical prospects in the USA market.
RRR has minted just over $2.1 million from the USA premieres pre-sales. It is estimated that the film will make in upwards of $3 million from the premieres. At this rate, beating Baahubali 2’s opening day tally is going to be a cake walk for RRR.
Baahubali 2 made $4.5 million from the premieres and opening day. This is the highest ever tally for an Indian film till now. Now, RRR is on course to break this record comprehensively.
RRR might be making $3 million from the premieres alone and add the prospective opening day collections to the tally, the film will easily breach the $4.5 million benchmark set by Baahubali. However, RRR’s premieres collections won’t be made public. The overall day 1 collection (premieres + opening day) will be reported this Saturday.
A positive word of mouth should further help RRR register a stellar opening weekend at the box office. Breaking RRR’s opening day collections is not going to be an easy task for any Indian film in the near future.
