The recent biggies like ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’, ‘Agnyathavaasi’ and ‘Aravinda Sametha’ didn’t even break-even in the US market leaving the buyers to face the losses for betting big on the big films. There seems to be a downward trend in the overseas market where the buyers are scared of big films as if the film bombs, the losses are too high and of course, even the reverse will also be very high.
Mahesh had once been a hot favourite in the US market. But, a couple of films hurt badly incurring losses to the buyers. He had become like another hero in the US market. Even, Trivikram is facing the same music as Mahesh in the overseas. There are four big movies namely ‘Sye Raa’, ‘Saaho’, ‘Maharshi‘ and NTR’s biopic are in the making and those films are open as of now for the US and the overseas market.
As it happens with any other biggie, once the first look, teasers and promo videos make their way into the market, the buzz on those biggies will attract the buyers and they will be investing on those films, anyway. Irrespective of the talk in the business circles, the businesses will come to a close sooner or later.
