Waltair Veerayya is ruling the US Box Office this Sankranthi. The movie had a fantastic Saturday with around $400K ($392,532) taking its total to 1.38 Million.
Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy slowed down big after the Pre-sales and managed $86K on Saturday. The total is now $935K. The movie will more or less end up at Akhanda levels.
Varisu picked up very well and recorded $206K taking its total to $740K.
Usually Sunday will be a bit slow but it is not the case this week since Monday is a holiday in the US due to Martin Luther King Day. We will have another good day tomorrow.
Various numbers are floating around regarding the Breakeven targets. We have verified with the distributor sources. According to that, Waltair Veerayya breakeven is 1.9 Million, Veera Simha Reddy is 1 Million and Varisu is 1.4 Million.
Veera Simha Reddy is at sniffing distance and Waltair Veerayya’s target is also easy considering the pace it is going on now. It’s only a matter of time from here on.
