Vakeel Saab is bought for a moderate price (in a combination deal with F3). It is a low number for a Pawan Kalyan starrer, generally, but Vakeel Saab is different for him. It is a content-oriented courtroom drama that takes place for the most part in a single location. Also, it is a remake. It is a deadly combo for the US market, as the target audience would have already seen the movie. We saw how terribly Dil Raju’s production Jaanu underperformed.
Given the circumstances, and also looking at the slowly recuperating overseas market, the makers have opted to have low prices for Vakeel Saab. According to reports doing the rounds, it would be $14 for the premiere and $12 for the regular shows. Usually, it is above $20 for a Pawan Kalyan film, but it is avoided for Vakeel Saab keeping the unique situation in mind.
In the past, films like Temper, some Allu Arjun movies (most prominently Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo) went with reduced pricing than what the stars could afford at the time. It worked to their advantage and also for the recovery as huge people turned up for the movies. Vakeel Saab team would be hoping for the repeat when the premiere commences on April 8th.
