Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata is doing brisk business in the overseas market, too, as it has collected over $1.8 million in America.
The film is now nearing the $2 million mark at the US box office.
SVP was distributed by FlyHigh Cinemas, Shloka, and Classics. It is commendable that the film stood its ground despite stiff competition from Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It can be said that the hype and Mahesh’s stamina are pulling the crowds.
It will be interesting to see how well SVP can hold on weekdays as the word-of-mouth for the film is mixed.
As we had predicted, Acharya failed to touch the 1 Million mark, and it is the first time in recent years that a big hero film (here, it’s a multi-starrer) has failed to touch the 1 Million mark in the US.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata Saturday reported gross $321,328 [479 Locations] and total gross $1,840,975.
Acharya’s closing total gross is $985,720.
AshokaVanam Lo Arjuna Kalyanam Saturday reported a gross of $9,682 [24 locs] and a total gross of $170,207. The small film pulled good numbers despite a very limited release in the U.S.
On the other hand, RRR is still pulling audiences to theaters, Saturday reported an hourly gross of $1,495 from 5 locations, and a total gross to date is $14,335,742
