From the first day after the premiere, it was confirmed that Spyder was going to be a disaster at the box office. It is set to create a new record for losses for a disaster. However, the way it’s faring day after day, it looks like the margin would be bigger than earlier imagined.
Spyder has so far collected $1.3 Million. The collections on the first three days are nowhere near the expectations that one has from a Superstar Mahesh Babu movie and that too with a sensational director combination of AR Murugadoss.
The other releases too aren’t glowing at the box office. Jai Lava Kusa is coming to an end but the surprise is Mahanubhavudu. The Sharwanand starrer has had a slow opening. It is the best in his career but higher numbers were on everyone’s mind.
The Saturday is going to be crucial for both Spyder and Mahanubhavudu. Spyder to reduce the loses and Mahanubhavudu to get to profits. Let’s see how things pan out tomorrow. Keep watching this space.
