Uppena is unstoppable at the box office. It is running superbly all over. It has a fabulous second weekend and is now doing well on the second Monday, as well. In the process, it is doing something unexpected.
Uppena marking the debut of the new kid on the block from the Mega family, Viasshnav Tej, is setting new targets for Pawan Kalyan in an area and few centres. Uppena has crossed Pawan Kalyan’s best in those places and is racing ahead for a huge number.
The bigger territory to look at is Uttar Andhra. Uppena has far surpassed Pawan Kalyan’s best. Of course, one has to remember that Pawan Kalyan’s highest here is from his last successful movie that came way back in 2013. The market has improved tremendously in these years. It has tripled.
Uppena has so far collected over 40 Cr from the Telugu states. It is going well, and the trade expects it to continue the same momentum for a couple of weeks until the noticeable movies hit screens for Shivaratri.
Uppena is a love story featuring young debutants Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty. Newcomer Buchi Babu Sana helmed the project. Devi Sri Prasad provided blockbuster music for the film, which turned out to be the most significant element for success.
