Reports in the Filmnagar suggest that Mega Hero Vaishnav Tej’s debut film, Uppena is all set to try a unique feat in Indian Cinema. After rejecting several rosy offers from various OTT platforms, the makers have bitten the bullet. Leading OTT Platform, Netflix bagged the digital rights of the film.
Sources say that the movie will release simultaneously on Netflix and theaters on the lines of the 2021 releases of the leading Hollywood Corporate Production House, Warner Bros. Seventeen films of the Corporate giant are going to release in theaters as well as on HBO Max on the same day.
If true, this is a unique experiment in Indian Cinema and a Telugu movie is doing that. Uppena is banking on the Mega tag of Vaishnav Tej and the super hit songs. On the other side, the actor already finished the shooting of his second film.
The movie tentatively titled Kondapalem is the first notable Telugu film exclusively made for OTT. The complete details of the OTT deal are yet to be revealed.
