The month of December will be the biggest for Telugu movie lovers all over. For the first time in recent years, it will be a mass feast at cinemas. It is an unusual occurrence as the biggies generally move to Sankranthi.
With ultra biggies like RRR, Radhe Shyam and Bheemla Nayak positioned to hit theatres for Sankranthi; many notable films have opted for December release. Of course, another part of the reason is the delay caused due to the ticket prices. It looks like they are no longer bothered about it.
The first one to hit the screens in December would be Akhanda. The Nandamuri Balakrishna mass entertainer with Boyapati Srinu is carrying tremendous buzz due to the combo. It comes on a regular week, but lack of proper mass movie for ages and that from a top star will work in its favour. Humongous openings are expected.
The second one is one of the most hyped movies recently, the Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa. It is slated to hit screens on December 17th. The combination of Sukumar and Allu Arjun, and also it being the next release of the star after career biggest blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, has got everyone psyched up.
The following two movies belong to tier two; they are Shyam Singha Roy and Ghani. The former stars Nani whereas the latter features Varun Tej in the lead. They are coming to the cinema on December 24th.
There are a few more small films, but the trade’s eyes are on these four primarily. Akhanda and Pushpa are real biggies hitting the screens after the restart of the industry post second lockdown.
