The competition between the second league heroes primarily between Nani and Vijay Deverakonda is heating up. Geetha Govindam had bumped Vijay Deverakonda’s position, and DevaDas’s underperformance has further his cause. Now, the upcoming release of Vijay Deverakonda has two simple, yet difficult targets before itself to give the Arjun Reddy star an edge over Nani.
Both the targets are related to the opening day, one in the Telugu states and other in the US. In either of the places, Vijay Devarakonda need not get a record figure to stamp authority. He should get the numbers on par with DevaDas, and that should be enough to improve his ratings as a star.
However, it is not as easy as being said. NOTA is a serious political film that has a strong dubbing hangover. There is no blockbuster audio to boost the number further. Nor is there a crazy heroine padding. With these negatives, if NOTA manages to get the required numbers, it would be a sensational achievement and hence the edge.
NOTA is slated to release worldwide on October 5th in Tamil and Telugu. Anand Shankar of Arima Nambi and Inkokkadu fame directs the movie. The first two movies have been successful for the director, and he is hoping to score a hat-trick with NOTA. Let us wait and see if that happens or not.
