Two-Extreme-Emotions-That-Explain-Well-Deserved-Praise-For-Satya-DevThe new film of actor Satya Dev, Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya has hit the streaming platform Netflix. It is winning him a lot of accolades and people are praising for his natural yet simple acting.

Here, we take a look at another character from Satya Dev’s forgettable thriller Ragala 24 Gantallo. Without spoiling too much let’s just say, Satya Dev plays a loathsome role. That as a viewer, we began to hate him shows his acting prowess. And he was the best part of the film besides the female lead Esha Rebba.

Coming back to Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya, Satya Dev plays a role that is entirely contrasting to the one in Ragala 24 Gantallo. Here is a simpleton with a lot of charm and innocence. Never do we see that evil spark in his character. It highlights how well-tuned he is with the part given to him.

Being an innocent guy one outing and a hated person is another, are extreme emotions an actor can portray. It showcases his range. If Satya Dev continues to choose scripts diversifying these range further with versatile roles (remakes not an issue), he could create a unique niche for him in Telugu cinema.

The only issue one can see here is the ‘commercial hero bug’ that Telugu cinema injects into every actor who stars to get accolades. Well, we hope Satya Dev avoids the cliché and picks different and unique choices, in the future, as well.
