There are two small films currently that are creating maximum buzz online and within the industry. They are Goodachari and Chi La Sow. People in the same space are helping both the movie’s starring young talent. However, they are making two big erroneous mistakes.
The first is the release date. Goodachari and Chi La Sow are releasing exactly a week before the start of the flurry of bigger and eagerly awaited, well-promoted movies. Srinivasa Kalyanam, Vishwaroopam 2 and Geeta Govindam are those films. Each one comes with big backing. The issue here once they arrive, they get the best screens and timings. It will make Goodachari and Chi La Sow second choice movies, depending on the appreciation they generate.
Secondly, and sadly, both Chi La Sow and Goodachari release on the same day. It is a clash that is unnecessary and will eat into each other’s business, even though they belong to contrasting genres. It is because they target the same audience, be it in the Telugu states or the US.
So, simply put, the one with the better word of mouth takes over the other over the weekend, even if the other is not entirely a bad movie. This, after both start by dividing the audience. And finally, whichever is the winner gets replaced or reduced shows in the coming days. The only solution to survive is super strong talk. Will they be able to get that?
