Twitter has announced that anyone can avail the verified blue tick mark, which was previously given only to government officials, and verified handles of top personalities and companies. But this comes at a price.
Twitter blue checkmark will cost the users Rs 719 per month. This is a recurring pricing model and the user will have to pay Rs 719 every month to avail the service.
Interestingly, the Twitter verified check mark will cost more than the costliest subscription plan of Netflix India. The Netflix premium – Rs 649 plan offers 4K+ HDR streaming and allows streaming on 4 different screens.
While the Netflix premium plan offers loads of content and ultra HD streaming, Twitter’s blue check mark offers just a blue tick alongside the handle name.
Incidentally, Amazon Prime service is also available for just Rs 1499 per year. This also offers shopping privileges and video streaming service.
It is evident that the Twitter blue check mark is costlier than top OTT platforms that offer loads of content. Will the netizens find it to be worth the price? We should wait and see.
