Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar RatingsRanbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s latest rom-com, Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar, was released yesterday, and the film has got a decent start at the box office.

Bollywood has been going through a lean phase for the past many months. Except for Pathaan, no Hindi film has done well in recent times. Even stars like Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, and Kartik Aaryan delivered disasters like Selfiee and Sehzada in the last few weeks.

The failure of these films seems to have made Bollywood desperate, and they hyped Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar one day before its release with four and 5-star ratings. Critics like Taran Adarsh and Komal Nahta were seen singing praises about the film.

But the public’s word-of-mouth has come out to be average to decent. The first half of the film is bland and boring. The long monologues by almost every character in the film become irritating after a point in time. The second half is better, and the climax of the film is entertaining.

Many are complaining that the film is nowhere near the four and five-star ratings given by the critics. The performances and glamor offered by the lead actors, along with hit music, are the saving grace of an otherwise average film.

The film might still do well at the box office because of no competition, and it might cater to a section of the youth.
