KCR-SharwanandIn a strange and unusual conflict, Sharwanand, who is usually an apolitical person has found himself in a controversy on social media.

Going into the story, earlier today, Sharwa tweeted “ I once read somewhere that ‘The great aim of education is not knowledge but action’. This great initiative of ‘Mana Ooru Mana Badi’ makes me believe in it. Empowering the next generation. Congratulations to our CM Shri. KCR Garu, brother @KTRTRS Garu and everyone involved”.

This is evidently in support of the Mana Ooru Mana Badri program by the Telangana government to improve government school infrastructure in the state.

Sharwa’s tweet received backlash from BJP troops who are the opposition force in Telangana. The saffron party forces are now threatening to boycott Sharwa’s films.

“Mr. @ImSharwanand Without basic knowledge if you tweet about Telangana Politics. We will show you what happens if we enter into your film industry, #BanSharwanandMovies” a BJP representative tweeted.

Commoners are commenting that it’s not right to drag film heroes into political controversies over such petty reasons. They’re saying that this boycott culture is ruling the roost in Hindi cinema and they hope this doesn’t run into South cinema now.
