The new rules of Municipal Corporation for Multiplexes are creating troubles for Single screen theaters in Vijayawada. The authorities have refused Multiplex rates to the newly constructed PVR Multiplex in Vijayawada as it does not have elevators in both entrance and exit according to the new rule. So, they have allowed only single screen prices in the Multiplexes. Earlier 2 Screen Miraz Cinemas was also refused multiplex rates.
As audience are getting multiplex experience at Single Screen rates, they are preferring this Multiplexes with Single Screen rates. PVR Cinemas will only add to the woes of Single Screen theaters in Vijayawada. PVR Cinemas will begin operations from today with Varna, Venkatadri Express and Bullet Raja.
