South-India actress Trisha Krishnan seems to be very aware and active in the field of animal rights. Just the other day, Trisha wrote a letter to the government requesting for action to be undertaken to release 70 beagles, who have allegedly been imported from China as ‘pets’, but most probably are to be used for some experiments.
In her letter to the special secretary in the ministry of environment and forests, M.F. Farooqui, Trisha wrote, “It is my understanding that it is, rightfully, illegal to import animals who are to be used in experiments under the false premise that will go to loving homes.
“If you don’t intercede, these dogs are likely to be injected with or force fed chemicals, experimental drugs or pesticides until they become very sick and die,” she added.
Other celebrities like Celina Jaitly, Neha Dhupia, Sonu Sood and Kunal Kemmu are also supporting the request by posting this message on twitter, “Help PetaIndia save 70 beagles wrongly transported as pets to India for laboratory testing.”Don't MissDear Comrade Feeling The Heat From iSmart Shankar?Sometimes all eyes are one film, and then another comes out of nowhere are steals...Don't MissChiru's Son in Law Didn't Give up Yet!Megastar Chiranjeevi son-in-law, Kalyaan Dhev's debut movie 'Vijetha' was a washout, to be frank, a...Don't MissHit In Three Days - Where Will iSmart Shankar End?The Ram starrer Ismart Shankar has brought back the glimpses of Puri Jagannadh of the...Don't MissWorld Bank To Fund Jagan's Navaratnalu, Sakshi ClaimsIt is known to our readers that World Bank has dropped the proposed 300 Million...Don't MissTDP Supporters Responds in Style to Jagan's CommentAndhra Pradesh Assembly Session is looking like a War Zone.
