The ‘theatrical’ trailer of Natural Star Nani’s new film Shyam Singha Roy is out. After brief glimpses and intriguing tease, we get some clarity on the basic premise of the movie. It looks like a Royal Mass offering is on cards.
The trailer is clearly decided into two halves. The beginning contains the entertainment segment whereas the latter half has all the mass moments. The connection between the two is where all the intrigue lies.
Nani in a modern avatar plays a wannabe director. The sequences are fun-filled with sizzling chemistry happening between Nani and Kriti Shetty. A twist in the tale comes when the subconscious memory of Nani is triggered and that’s how Shyam Singha Roy comes into the picture.
We already have enough content on the massy character of Shyam Singha Roy. It is the connection between the two and the final resolution that would be key to the movie’s success theatrically.
The making looks superb with the periodic scenes standing out. Nani, in a dual role, and Sai Pallavi and Kriti Shetty look like the perfect casting choice for a successful out. We hope director Rahul Sankrityan has got the narrative right.
