Rajamouli, the most successful director of Tollywood till date with 100% success rate has given variety to the audience with his every film. Some of his films are remade into Hindi and other regional languages. Kollywood didn’t dare to remake the film in Tamil. Even Bollywood didn’t dream to touch Rajamouli’s period drama ‘Magadheera’ starring Ram Charan and Kajal Agarwal. But Bengalis with all the blessings from Maa Kaalimaata are remaking the film and it is going to be released during this Puja season (Dussehra).
Bengali remake of ‘Magadheera’ is titled ‘Yoddha’ starring Bengali Superstar Dev and the beautiful Mimi Chakravorty. The theatrical trailer was released in July and the theatrical teaser has been released on the Independence Day. The promotional videos showcased the grandeur and lavish settings and breathtaking action sequences. For Telugu audience, the action may not excite because we have seen the mastery already. But for Bengali audience this would be really a huge budget movie which is never heard of in Bengali Film Industry. ‘Yoddha’ is being produced under the banner Shree Venkatesh Films.
