A tragedy has struck again in the household of actor Rajeev Kanakala. Srilakshmi Kanakala, sister of Rajeev Kanakala, has breathed her last in Hyderabad today.
Srilakshmi Kanakala has been admitted to hospital some time back. It was due to cancer. Finally, after battling with it for a sustained period, Srilakshmi succumbed to the disease. She is survived by husband Peddi Rama Rao and two daughters, Prerna and Ragaleena.
Actor Harshavardhan of Amrutham broke the news on his social media profile following a word with Srilakshmi’s family, and Rajeev and Suma Kanakala. Srilakshmi is the sister-in-law of Suma. He also urged the fans to stay inside considering the coronavirus pandemic prevalent in the country, currently.
Srilakshmi is also an actor. She has debuted on the small screen with his father Devadas Kanakala in Rajasekhara Charitra. Agnipoolu, Ruthu Geetham and Chinnari are some of her popular serials on Television. Srilakshmi has also hosted a few shows, as well.
It has been a tragic couple of years for Kanakala family. First Rajeev’s mother died in February 2018. Later, father Devadas Kanakala passed away in August 2019. And now, sister Srilakshmi has passed away. May her soul rest in peace, and the Kanakala household get all the strength in the world during these difficult times.
