Mahesh Babu is indisputably a bigger name in the Telugu Film Industry. However, post-Baahubali, many equations had changed and Prabhas emerged a pan-Indian actor who garnered huge craze as much as a star hero earns in a long run.
Now that Mahesh Babu’s ‘SPYder’ is going to clash with a big Bollywood film ‘Judwaa 2’ starring young Bollywood hero Varun Dhawan in the lead and Taapsee Pannu romancing him and Salaman too appears in a special role in this film. Both films are coming to theatres this Dussehra and will be competing with each other.
Though director, A.R. Murugadoss has few big hits to his credit in Hindi, it is unfair to compare a Mahesh Babu’s Hindi version release with a direct film like ‘Judwaa 2’ feels the trade. Mahesh Babu is not as popular as Prabhas among the Pan-Indian audiences feels the trade and every South movie coming to Hindi will not be as big as Baahubali so we don’t see any threat opined Bollywood a trade analyst.
Rajamouli’s movie is an exception feels the trade. But, let’s see how far AR Murugadoss’ image in Bollywood helps Mahesh to compete with a Bollywood movie.
