With the recent trend of remakes of poular films, actors Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn has been approached for the Bollywood remake of the Mahesh-starrer hit film Dookudu. After the talks with Salman Khan on the same issue proved unsuccessful, the makers of the Hindi version have approached both the veteran actors.
A source close to the issue reported that Salman was not keen on doing another remake thus prompting the makers to approach Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar. Both the actors have been known to enter the `100 crore club last year with Telugu remakes — Ajay with Son of Sardar (Maryada Ramana in Telugu) and Akshay with Rowdy Rathod (Vikramarkudu), thus making them apt for the role required. He also confirmed that both Ajay and Akshay are keen on doing it and it is merely a matter of dates now.
