In a bid to gain a strong foothold in the state of Kerala in the upcoming elections, it seems that the BJP is counting on none other than the celebrated hero of Malayalam Cinema, Suresh Gopi. It seems that to achieve their ends, the ruling party has nominated him to the Upper house of the Indian democracy, the Rajya Sabha.
The election are set to start from May 16th and the clean reputation among the Kerala public that Suresh Gopi comes with is likely to enhance BJP’s chances in a state where the party has to date not won a single seat in the Assembly or even the Lok Sabha election.
On his first day as a Rajya Sabha member, Suresh Gopi almost pulled a NaMo style entry except he just touched the steps of the entrance and waved to the cameraman. As for Gopi’s upcoming plans, he is first set to prove his calibre as a nominated MP and is not thinking about anything above the current post.
